• Can we get rid of our Child's IEP?

Usually we hear this when a parent or child is either unhappy with the IEP services, or feel that they are not needed anymore. Sometimes, in some districts, this is relatively easy to do by requesting it in writing. It may be that the team will agree with you, so have a conversation with the special education teacher asking how you could make this happen. We recommend that you be polite and non-accusatory; you should either mention how your daughter has improved or how you plan on handling her future educational needs.
